Group Support Therapy

Group therapy can be an ideal choice for addressing your concerns and making positive changes in your life.  In some cases, it is more effective than individual therapy, with a host of other benefits.

Group therapy consists of a session with a therapist who lead a group of roughly five to ten patients. Typically, groups meet for about an hour or two each week. Most people attend individual therapy in addition to groups.

MOMMA

The MOMMA group is for those that are struggling while pregnant or post-partum. This virtual group fosters support for dealing with emotions and the transition of being pregnant to having children through coaching and group support. This group will empower members to gain a sense of freedom and control in their daily lives and through difficult transitions. Cognitive factors, such as problem solving, coping skills, neurocounseling, and cognitive restructuring are incorporated into the design of the group in order to mitigate post-partum depression & anxiety and parenting struggles.

FOOD

The FOOD group is for those that are stuck or those that need or desire change in their relationship with food. This virtual group fosters support for making difficult changes in their eating habits through education and overcoming obstacles through coaching and group support. This group will empower members to gain a sense of freedom and control in their relationship with food and through difficult transitions. Cognitive factors, such as, problem solving, coping skills, neurocounseling, and cognitive restructuring are incorporated into the design of the group in order to facilitate change in creating a positive relationship with food.

CHANGE

CHANGE group is for those that are stuck or those that need or desire change in their lives. This virtual group fosters support for making difficult changes in the individuals through education and overcoming obstacles through coaching and group support. This group will empower members to gain a sense of freedom and control in their daily lives and through difficult transitions. Cognitive factors, such as homework, problem solving, coping skills, neurocounseling, and cognitive restructuring are incorporated into the design of the group in order to facilitate change.
